What kind of nominees are we seeking?
|
|
|
- Teacher with a love of literacy that has made a difference in preparing children for kindergarten.
- A home day care provider who has a love of literacy and has played a special role in preparing children for kindergarten.
- A youth mentor who has spent time in an early childhood setting reading and motivating children to have a love of books.
- A community leader who has made a difference in the Jackson Community by ensuring good policies and funding that supports early childhood programming.

In honor of the Month of the Young Child, the Great Parent Great Start Committee, Community Action Agency, Child Care Network and the Jackson County Intermediate School District seek nominations for those contributing to the success of young children age birth to five in Jackson County.
|
|
How will nominee’s benefit?
They will be honored on April 18, 2006, during a reception at the Cascade Manor House in Jackson.April is the month of the young child and honorees will represent the best in early childhood education. They will receive an award.
How to nominate:
Fill a nomination form and mail to: Mary Cunningham DeLuca, Community Action Agency, 1214 Greenwood Avenue, Jackson MI 49203 or email to mdeluca@caajlh.org.
Nominations forms are due by April 1, 2006.
A review panel of community members will make the selections by April 9 and winners will be announced at the reception on April 18, 2006.
