AMERICAN SILVER TEA COFFEE SERVICE GELSTON & TREADWELL RARE CIRCA 1840 NEW YORK CITY
Description:


This is a wonderful rare American Silver Tea and Coffee Service by Gelston and Treadwell. It is from New York City from around the 1840’s. Displayed on a huge silver plate on copper tray of German origin circa 1890 with a small impressed mark. It has button feet with a pierced gallery, chased in floral pattern, en suite. The silver set is in wonderful condition with very little wear.The bottom of each piece has the Gelston & Treadwell mark, New York. The joints are covered in ivory.


The set includes:



1.Very large pot with spivet base measures 18"tall x 10.5 wide.


2. Large pot measures 11.5" x 10.5"


3. Medium pot measures 8.5" x 10"


4. Sugar with lid measures 7.5" x 7"


5. Creamer measures 6’ x 6’


6. Waste bowl measures 3.5’ x 6"


7. Huge German tray measures 30" x 19.5" handle to handle
