Gabriel (Gabrille) Spat was born in New York City in 1890. He lived and worked both in the U.S. and France, creating wonderful market place scenes, views in the park, and horse racing scenes. Still -lives, and portraying dancers in an impressionist style was also one of his trade mark styles.
