Max Jensen (1879-1907) was a German marine painter who lived in Berlin and spent time at the Baltic and North Sea coasts. He studied at the Berlin Academy of Arts and the Kunstakademie Dsseldorf, and his work has been shown in Germany, Denmark, and Holland. Most of his work was dramatic scenes of the sea. Pieces can vary from huge waves to schooners sailing in the rough water. He has impressive auction records an considered in Germany to be a master of the sea.
