Empire 19th Century Pair of Paris Porcelain Plates Painted by Charles Halley
Description

Wonderful Early 19th Century Pair of Paris Porcelain Plates. One plate has a young boy climbing a tree, with his dog atop a rock, the other is a young girl sitting with her cat alongside a birdcage with a yellow bird. Truly charming. On the bottom one plate is marked for Charles Halley in Paris, decorator of porcelain from the late 18th century until circa 1820. I am certain they are both from the same set. Each plate measures 9" across and stand 1" from the table. ( The earlier price was on the bottom of one piece with label.)
