If shopping is your thing, satisfy your craving for the fun and unusual in the historic square of downtown McKinney. Located east of Hwy-75 off of Virginia Parkway, McKinney square offers an assortment of specialty shops, art galleries, antique collections, gift shops and apparel boutiques. You can find more than 100 unique shops and more than a dozen restaurants, sandwich shops, outdoor patio dining and neighborhood pubs. Be sure to visit "The Pantry" restaurant for lunch and enjoy one of their famous pies.

Frisco, TX
"History in a Pecan Shell" The St. Louis, San Francisco and Texas Railway was popularly named the "Frisco Line" - their slogan "Ship it on the Frisco" was seen by impatient and irritated drivers everywhere. The town became Frisco City- later shortened to Frisco. Frisco became a shipping point and kept a respectable degree of autonomy all through the 20th century. In 1960 there were less than 1,200 residents, and even by 1980 it had only increased to 3,500. Today the population has increased to 80,969.
Frisco is fast becoming the major sports and shopping destination of North Texas.

The Dr. Pepper/Seven-Up Ballpark in Frisco accommodates over 10,600 fans and is home to the Frisco RoughRiders Double-A baseball team, an affiliate of the Texas Rangers.

The Dr. Pepper StarCenter arena is the training facility for the Dallas Stars hockey team and the home for the "Texas Tornado" Junior Hockey League Champions.

Frisco is now the home for the FC Dallas major league soccer team at Pizza Hut Park. With 20,372 seats, the Park opened in 2005 and is surrounded by 17 tournament-size soccer fields. The Park also serves as a football stadium for Frisco ISD and is available for concerts, public entertainment and community events.

The Superdrome is a 2,200 seat cycling stadium and features a 250 meter, 44 degree banking inclined track. Located at the Collin County Community College Preston Ridge Campus, it is considered one of the fastest low altitude incline tracks.

Canyons is a state of the art indoor climbing facility for all ages and abilities, located across from the new Pizza Hut Park.
And yes ladies, there is a mall nearby!!!!! There is a wealth of shopping opportunity in Frisco, including Stonebriar Center, one of the best shopping malls in the Southwest located on state Hwy 121 just off Preston Rd. Unique shopping and dining can also be found west on Main Street (720) in historic downtown Frisco.

Prosper, TX
Prosper is a quaint little town situated north of Frisco and west of McKinney. The crossroads are Highway 380 and Preston Road (289). Population now 5000, Prosper is a fast growing town with a small historic downtown strip on West Broadway Street. Be sure to visit Carmela Winery for superb locally made wines, Maggie's clothing store for the latest fashions, and The Cotton Gin Cafe situated in an old cotton mill all located on W. Broadway.
