Admissions

Del Amo Behavioral Health is accessible 24 hours a day to help those with behavioral health issues. The admission process begins with a thorough assessment completed by an admissions coordinator. Assessments can be completed by phone or on-site. Once the assessment is complete, the admissions coordinator reviews the criteria with the program director and attending physician. The admissions coordinator will contact the Insurance provider, if applicable. Del Amo is an approved provider for most insurance companies and managed care systems, including Medicare and MediCal (under ages 21 or over 65). Alternative methods of payment will be discussed if insurance is not available. An admission date will then be scheduled.

The review process is completed in a timely manner with admissions often taking place on the same day as the assessment. Each client will receive information on “Things not to Bring” prior to their admission. Transportation is available for clients who live locally.
