Automatic Bookmarking Script
David Mortenson
Editior, EZ-NetAdvantage
In Internet Explorer, they are called "favorites". In Netscape, they are "bookmarks". Either way, they add up to a site that is stickier because your visitors will be able to remember and return to your site.

I know the script works in Netscape 4.7 and above and Internet Explorer 5.0 and above. As for older versions of these browsers, I haven't tested them, so I can't make any guarantees. This is not a normal feature of EZ-NetTools®, so Technical Support may not be able to help you with it if you have questions. But, experiment with it and see what happens.

Put a Bookmarking Link on Your Page

    1. In EZ-PageBuilder™ add an HTML Block in your page.

    2. Highlight the following script with your mouse and copy and paste it into your HTML block:
    3. Change the variables that say, "http://www.Your_URL.com" and "Your Site Title Here" to reflect your site's information.

    4. Submit the block and voila! Your page now has a functional link that says, "Bookmark This Page". Save your page and test it out.

You can change the location of the bookmark link on your page by changing the location of the HTML block. With the Layout Manager Block, you can place the it virtually anywhere on the page. If you would prefer to use a graphic for the link, replace the works "Bookmark This Page" in the last line with a standard IMG SRC tag.Good Luck!
