Rexburg Chamber wins national website award
Rexburg Chamber of Commerce has been honored as one of four finalists in a national website contest for chambers sponsored by the Chamber Executive Network newsletter.

The finalist award is the top honor in the "Best chamber Website Contest" which was open to nearly 1,000 chambers which subscribe to the monthly advisory newsletter. Besides the four finalists, judges names five semi-finalists and ten honorable mention awards. Chambers from the states of Iowa, Michigan and Washington made up the other three finalist.

The Rexburg Chamber's site at www.rexcc.com earned high praise from the contest judges. Following is a synopsis of their evaluation:

This tourism- oriented site is probably the most visually vibrant and colorful of all the entries, plus has the most movement. At the home page your are immediately enticed to click on the "movie" graphic which provides a short flash musical slide show of Rexburg. Several streaming videos (which do not require special software)are provided inside the folk dance festival section, plus there is a welcome video from a local prominent artist in the "Sunbird" section of the site. Although the video screens here are small, they can be enlarged by using an "instructions on video viewing" link and download time is not outrageous. This site is definitely "alive". Other Chambers should take heed!

The Chamber Executive Network is a monthly advisory newsletter for chambers of commerce in the U.S. and Canada, published by Hakes Publications of Storm Lake, Iowa.
