Successor Wind Energy

A-Max Windseeker retrofit.
Similar in looks to the SW Windpower Windseeker ,the Lakota is an outgrowth of the previously manufactured
Wind Baron (right), which fell by the way side during the 80's and 90's "era of cheap oil".
We suggest you compare the competition's "equivalent" offerings...but don't let their low noise claims fool you!
SW Windpower ... Bergey
The new Lakota is an upgraded version of the tried and true Neo Wind Baron...increasing the 700 Watt rating to 900 Watts! With new props, and a number of electrical improvements, these "stealth" units provide up to 1500 W of surge power in the windiest areas. In some cases owners have reported over a 100 Amps!!!

The latest addition is the "nose cone", for increased aerodynamic efficiency-- absent in the above photos that show a Windseeker and Wind Baron with A-Max upgrades. The carbon fiber blades and altered electronics help these deliver serious power for generators slightly larger than ceiling fans...with far less noise than wood, steel, fiberglass or other "composite" blade materials!
Reduce electricity bills now!

The ideal home owner's wind generator.
A-Max OB-1
THE FUTURE:
This revolutionary "down draft", 1Kw+ series OB-1 promises to offer even more value for customers requiring higher generating capacity.

Though this turbine is only slightly larger than the Lakota and Windseeker, the design and special control electronics make it capable of delivering over 2000 Watts in high winds! The prototypes are not expected to yield consumer versions anytime in the near future, so a Lakota is by far your best option today! Don't wait until subsidies disappear!
(Also, many of us would rather purchase a proven design and let others "test drive" the new designs.)
