Welcome to the Shepherd's Fold Ranch website. Shepherd's Fold Ranch is a summer camp and retreat facility that was established in Avant, Oklahoma in 1972 by Don and Shirley Staires as a Christian discipleship training camp. Summer camp has always been a place where life changing decisions and lifelong relationshipsare made. Shepherd's Fold Ranch summer camp was designed to facilitate these decisions and relationships by providing a place in the country where kids could come and do business with God.
Our Christian Summer Camp is intended to give campers A Place Called Home where they can return again and again to renew and refresh their relationship with Jesus and with old friends. By staying connected as they grow, kids receive training and experiences that help them mature and become confident in their identity in Jesus.
Our Summer Camp introduces kids to wonderful role models and mentors that will remain a part of their lives for many years.Many of these role models and mentors are young adults that have grown up coming to SFR and are now fulfilling a lifelong dream of being a leader at SFR. Our discipleship training program is designed with curriculum that meets the needs of ages from 5 to 25. Come as a Day Camper and stay with us until you are on our Summer Leadership Team! That's the plan at Shepherd's Fold Ranch.
