The blocks on this "CD" collections contains the most ornate blocks, from a quilt style that developed in Baltimore, Maryland around 1846-1852. Typically, exquisitely sewn Baltimore Album quilts were presented as gifts, inscribed with mottos and autographs by those contributing blocks. Today, antique Baltimore Album quilts bring higher prices than any other quilt.
