NEWS 02/23/03:
Man, it has been a while since I have touched this page & I probably will not touch it again for a while longer. Elysium's forum page is a better source for all of us to post news & updates for all Elysium's to read.
A few notes of information...
Beth III is doing an excellent job keeping our forum current.
New as of 02/20/03, I (Ris Hawthorn, founder of Elysium) am giving out free Certificates of Achievement to Elysium members that reach Regent or Seneschal. For complete details regarding certificates & how to receive yours see the news section in Elysium Forums.

NEWS 07-10-01:
Regarding Queens of Elysium. I have jumped the selection of queens in the past and from that experience I took my time on finding a new queen for Elysium. After putting our new queen through a month waiting period I am happy to announce her here.
The new queen of Elysium is Moxy. Please pay your reqpects to Moxy when you can.
Special Note & new procedure for requesting items.
1st you need to flirt with Moxy, Queen of Elysium. Let her know what you want & tell her something about yourself. Moxy will determine if you are worthy. (Here is you opertunity for some good role playing. Go to OUR FORUM link to leave messages for Moxy, Queen of Elysium or email her by clicking on her name from clan Elysiums home page.

NEWS 05-28-01:
Glendar, Elder of Arms has stepped down as Elder after training Jamie D in the fine arts of acquiring weapons. Now Jamie D will help supply you with your weapon needs as Elder of Arms.
This brings me to another issue regarding Elders. We have a few handfuls of Elders and if you are not receiving what you need feel free to contact me for your desires. I am proud to say that we are coming up on 1000 power which helps carry us up in the ranks of clans. Beth III is taking a minor vacation starting 06-21-01. In the mean time, when you go up ranks, please contact Jamie D and he will supply you with your rewards until Beth III returns.
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORKS!!!
We need recruiters to advertise clan Elysium in the chat rooms or on the DC Forums. I am in the process of writing the history of Elysium which will include my father, Harold the Hardy. But now it is just a vision. More to come later.

Not much new. Since 05-03-01 I have awarded about ten winners that were all randomly selected from our clan list. Only one member actually entered so needless to say,he won!
NEW...If you have news you want posted here just submit your news item to Ris Hawthorn via email or DC Mail.
Please remember to play atleast once every two weeks. I saw that DC has posted on their BUGS page that if you do not play atleast once every two weeks your clan will loose the power your character contributes to them. So play & atleast mingle if you do not have time to battle.

HEAR YE HEAR YE HEAR YE!!!
Today starts the day of the Lucky Elysian of Elysium!!! Send Ris Hawthorn an email stating you want to be an Elysian winner or something to that effect and I will enter you in a surprise drawing to win Ris Hawthorn`s extra`s of the day. My storage is full and I find myself selling items to DC and not giving them to anyone. With this drawing I will simply give all my extra items of the day to one member every day. It is a surprise because I will include un-identified Koutetsu`s, masamunes, Great Bows and more. The items are what I find through my battles of that day so there may not always be Koutetsu`s but there will be enough items to fill your storage or come close.

NEWS, 04-25-01:
***Looking for webmaster that can create and maintain an Elysium Members page.***
I am currently looking for a webmaster who can build or create a webpage of clan members. I will send them a list of members when ever they request it and create a link from clan Elysium webpage to their webpage of Elysium members or Elysian`s. If you are interested please email Ris Hawthorn. Thank You.
As Elysium grows I find the need for more and more assistance. Mighty Morpheus acquired his character by chance and has been a most valuable assistant for web design and has created Our Forums website. He is known there as FREEHOUSE. A special thank you goes out to Mighty Morpheus for all of his help.
This help is needed now and will be needed more and more as we grow and also as my wife grows. Yes, there is a baby on the way and when it (the sex will not be known until birth)arrives I will need major assistance. The baby is due in August so there is plenty of time to build a good introstructure to keep Elysium alive. There may be a few months during that period where all grants will be denied but that is in August so you can join now with no problems.
Elysian JAMIE D is helping hand out supplies to new clan members so do not be surprised if I send you a note advising you to return it to JAMIE D for your marks & mandrake roots.
Once again, questions can be directed to myself (Ris Hawthorn) or any Elder listed.

NEWS, 04-04-01:
Recoil2 is officially back from vacation and is now Elder of Power as he has much power and experience in DC and Elysium. He is one of the founding members.
Beth III is being joined in her ventures to educate lower ranked members on rank advancement by Recoil2. They both recently received an updated member list.
If anyone desires a current list of members email Leader, Ris Hawthorn, with your request and a valid email address. Once your request is received he will forward you a list of members that DC sends to him.
Starting April 13, 2001 Ris Hawthorn will only send out welcome gifts (see our main page) to players after they join Elysium. So players will no longer receive Marks and Mandrake roots just for petitioning. They will need to USE the Grant and then submit their requests to Elders or the Leader.

NEWS, 03-24-01:
We have attained 500 power and gained the ability Stubborn!!! See news 03-15-01 for details about stubborn. Beth III has been working hard promoting creating Peasants to Barons and helping notify peasants and knights how to gain rank to help add power to our clan. Great work Beth III and the others that are assisting her.
There is a new members page format because the old format took too long to update. Please check the new members page. If you know a member who is not listed on it make sure they play their character soon because they maybe risking getting removed from Dragon Court!
Ayslinn has earned a plase as Elder of Treasury.
There has been talk about turning Elysium into a kingdom rather then just a clan. For this we will need a king and queen. Thus, as leader, Ris Hawthorn plans on being King of Elysium and is in search of a queen. He has been seen flirting with Ayslinn.
If you object to Elysium becoming a kingdom, contact Ris Hawthorn ASAP.

CherryPie accepts Elder position as Elder of Footware.
The button for Member`s Page has been retitled Elysian`s because we are all living in Elysium now so we are Elysian`s.
Keep Mingling and Boasting to increase your rank from Peasant to Knight to Baron and so on because once we reach 500 power we will receive the ability Stubborn. Stubborn will help reduce the amount of times we get mezmerized!! For those of you who do not know, we already have the ability Quick which gives us extra quests per day based on your characters level.

Mighty Morpheus has been hard at work on setting up a forums page for all Elysian`s to meet and post their stories and more. Click on Our Forums button on the main page of clan Elysium to go there now. It is brand new!!! Start Posting Today!!! Leave requests, leave offers, just start using it today & get involved with our clan!!! Oh yeah, like always, peer the character you are sending stuff to make sure they are still a member of Elysium and not someone else trying to get Elysium`s goods. Unless you do not mind helping anyone in DC.
Also today I have given up my search for Recoil2 and dabomber. As a result our faithful and loyal member, TreasureHunter has accepted a position as Elder of Armor. If anyone knows the where-abouts of Recoil2 or dabomber please have them DCMail or Email Ris Hawthorn ASAP.

News, 03-10-01:
Elder Kain_Xyncht has stepped down as Elder. He will remain a member of Elysium but will be working hard in a different reality for the next month. As he was entering the other reality he was heard mumbling, " Oh man, my grades, school, I really need to study. I have no joice. I must go now. I need to start with..." Then Kain_Xyncht faded out in the fog along with his voice.

Kain_Xyncht boasts and battles his way to Regent while Eagle Tolkan over comes many hurdles and kills his share of creatures to become Prince! Great Job to everyone else who is also advancing and making clan Elysium what it is.

Many of you may have seen Beth III posting info about a group she is in to help newbies. I think that is great! That is what Elysium wants to help support. The group is not a clan, it is just an orginized group of characters from DC as a whole getting together to help newbies get on their feet. It is official, Kain_Xyncht has earned a position as Elder of Footwear. Also the position for Elder of Gems has been snatched up by TheNobleKing. In addition to great works TreasureHunter is apprentice to Ris Hawthorn & has been supplied with weapons to hand out along with weapons he already has. CherryPie has seen TreasureHunters work and is volunteering to assist. Ris Hawthorn just sent supplies to aid in CherryPies desires. Eagle Tolkan is becoming very active. Recoil2 has returned from a well rested vacation.
Who knows what is next...

Elysium reaches over 100 members today, 02-08-01!!!
That is right! Over 100 members in just one month! We are all fast on our way to the clans second ability. The next ability will be Stuburn. This will reduce the chances of getting Mezmerized by those pesky Mages, Baskalisks and Mermaids to name a few. Keep up the mingling and boasting to gain rank. Peasants are becoming Knights and Knights to Barons and on and on!!! All of this advancement is giving our clan more power. Keep up the great work. If you are in need contact our Elders and if you are not receiving what you need from an Elder contact our leader Ris Hawthorn. He will do what he can to make you feel like you are really in ELYSIUM!!!

Apprenticeships are starting. Kain_Xyncht is working hard as an apprentice under Elder Ris Hawthorn and it appears Kain_Xyncht will soon become an Elder as some Elder positions are opening up. Testingbread, TreasureHunter, Wodenus, and -Rax- are working hard to make Elysium great! Scott_karana just resigned as Elder of Gems opening up an Elder position.

There have been rumors about how we, clan Elysium, are against certain clans. Those are just rumors. In Elysium we strive for unity and honor. We welcome other clans to join our force to help Elysium gain in rank and power. Although Elysium may have members that were not treated well by other clans and those members may not like certain clans. Members have that right but in Elysium we ask you to leave those ill feelings behind and welcome a new era of growth. Let our leader know if you are not receiving the service you desire in Elysium and he will work on rectifying your troubles and changing them into joys of Elysium.

*Offer for Merging Clan*
If you are or have a clan wishing to join and merge into clan Elysium your members will all receive the welcome gifts as new members (see list on main page). Also up to 5 members of the merging clan (ranked Earl or higher) will receive 20 thousand (20k) mandrake roots each. The leader of the merging clan chooses the 5 members to receive the mandrake roots. We are flexable with this so feel free to make suggestions.
