Barb's Birthday
in Cancun! |

We left Montrose April 24th and drove over the Continental Divide to Denver.
|
|
It was snowing as we drove over Vail Pass, but in 2 days
we were swimming in the Caribbean south of Cancun!
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
We booked our all-inclusive trip through
Apple Vacations. It included a chartered
non-stop flight from Denver to Cancun
with a shuttle to our hotel.
|
|
|
|
After checking into our room at the
Occidental Grand Flamenco Xcaret, we
headed to the lobby bar for happy hour!
|
|
|
|

We sipped margaritas
and enjoyed the show
and sunset ceremony. |

|
The all-inclusive covers not only the room and air travel, but all the food and drinks you want. There are 5 on-site restaurants that require reservations, plus 3 buffets open most any time you want. The food was beyond our expectations!

Our room was here and the island of Cozumel is here.
|
|
|
|
The Occidental has 800 rooms and the
manicured grounds cover several acres.
|
|

Our room overlooked the
white-tail deer!
We enjoyed seeing the macaws
and other animals and flowers
all over the property.
