Barb spent most of December with her mom in Evergreen
for her dad's open heart surgery.
After 10 days in the hospital, Walt was elated to go home.
First he asked to go back to CCU (Coronary Care Unit)
so he could thank those nurses that took care of him.
We were all very thankful Walt's new heart valve was
working well and he could come home before Christmas.

While Barb was on the front range, Steve was home
enduring snowfall after snowfall on the western slope.
This is how Steve spent most of December.

We spent Christmas day in Evergreen with Barb's family.
Steve and Lucy were able to drive over between snow storms to be with us.

After Christmas we went to Thornton to celebrate with
Darel, Shannon, Chase & Jacob, as well as Jonathan.

& hooded bath towels for the 4 grandkids.

We didn't get to see the Lema family since they went to St. Louis for Christmas.
