Emily Farner, Barb's niece, came over for a long weekend retreat in mid-July.
We took her to the Black Canyon Quilt Show in Montrose.

Saturday was a big day!
First we went to a craft show, then did some sight-seeing on our way to our friend Tanya's house-warming party at her Cimarron cabin.
On the drive up we stopped to see the dam at Morrow Point. This is where the original train exited from the Black Canyon almost 100 year ago.

After Tanya's party we drove back
home over Owl Creek Pass.

Back home, Barb took Emily for a spin on the ATVs.

|
Sunday was Jeeping day!
Barb, Lucy and Emily drove over Last Dollar Road to Telluride.
Here Emily enjoys the view during our picnic lunch.
