4th of July
with the Noar family

We had fun over the July 4th holiday with friends from Parker, CO.

Lisa, Colin (4), Callie (9), Caden (5) & Scott Noar

Friday the family spent the day in Telluride sight-seeing and riding the gondola.
That night they joined us for supper. "Grandpa" Steve gave rides in the "reindeer tractor".
Steve made deer antler necklaces for the kids.
The boys loved his cowboy hats.
After dinner the "three amigos" danced the night away doing their own
crazy dances to country music.

To celebrate the 4th of July we all headed into Montrose for the Summerfest.
We got there in time for the ping pong ball drop - 5,000 ping pong balls dropped from a helicopter into the crowd! We managed to catch 10 or so balls among our group!

We decided to wait for the
crowd to clear a bit to redeem
our ping pong balls for prizes.
So we visited the Ute Indian Museum.

That night we had a patio picnic.
It wasn't easy keeping the boys seated.
See Caden dashing through the pasture
behind Scott and Callie?

A slight rain brought out an incredible
double rainbow!
The kids had fun running in our
pasture, having races between
the rows of cut hay. They even
ran across our neighbor's cut hay
field to check out the horses.

Lucy received
plenty of love!

After dinner we found a
great spot to watch the
Montrose fireworks.

While Scott & Lisa packed the car, Barb kept the kids out of their way - at least that was her excuse for some more fun with the kids before they had to leave.

Sadly, the weekend
was over & the Noars
had to head home.

We look forward to
their next visit!
