Douglas Wendell Benjamin Nachor, son of Juan and Josephine Meyer Nachor, was born on October 29, 1944 in Laupahoehoe on the Big Island of Hawaii. Douglas Nachor, 59, of Hilo died on July 31, 2004 at Hilo Medical Center from ALS - Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis or as referred to as Lou Gehrigs Disease.

Douglas Nachor Memorial Service was held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo, Hawaii
on August 14, 2004.

ALS symptoms: The nerve cells degenerate and the voluntary muscles weakens and become immobile. The senses are unimpaired and the intellect can be unaffected.
