Access the Word is a multi-sensory Orton Gillingham based program for teaching reading, writing, spelling, and comprehension. The Orton Gillingham method was developed specifically to teach struggling and non-readers how to read, spell, and comprehend (read more about Orton Gillingham).
While the program will benefit all students, it is especially successful for students with dyslexia, phonological processing disorder, speech and language deficits, and other learning differences. There is no need for extensive training or a teaching degree because each lesson plan is designed to be effective and easy to use. Your time and the child’s time is precious, so each lesson will walk you through the skill or concept and how to teach it.
