Greetings Everyone!
The past 12 months have been enormously busy. In addition to shooting thousands of new digital images around the world, we conducted 25 instructional programs from one-day seminars to multi-week photo tours in Kenya. In our “spare” time, we filmed an instructional DVD on Photographing California's Eastern Sierra. It just became available! Our two books, Digital Nature Photography: The Art and the Science and Digital Landscape Photography have earned superb reviews! Please buy the books directly from us, so we can autograph them for you!

Our office manager, Meet Michele....
Michele Smith is our wonderful office manager. She is a super lady whom we have had the pleasure of working with since 2004 in the back country of Yellowstone. She and her husband Shay, have guided the week-long photo tours we conduct by horseback in Yellowstone’s spectacular back country. Michele is an excellent horse person, camp cook, mule packer, and she is really fun to be with. Please give her a call if you have any questions about our tours, seminars, or workshops. Michele would love to introduce you to our many photographic adventures.

We are professional nature photographers who are widely published around the world. We are known for making gorgeous images of nature which include wildlife, landscapes, seasons, and flora. We use a "shooting workflow" we and our students developed that anyone can easily learn.

The joy and fun of finding a beautiful nature subject and making a stunning image of it is what drives us. We sell these images directly and through more than fourteen stock agencies worldwide.

We have led numerous international photo tours to such exotic locales as Antarctica, Falkland Islands, Galapagos Islands, Midway Atoll, Kenya, and to Hudson Bay for Polar Bears.

Our primary love today is teaching nature photography to others, so they can capture stunning images, too. We love teaching nature photography. We have conducted our popular 1-day nature photography seminar in more than 150 US and Canadian cities. The week-long field workshops we teach in Michigan, British Columbia, and Yellowstone National Park, along with our photo safaris to Kenya, have helped many of our students become outstanding nature photographers. Indeed, many of our students are now professional nature photographers!

We and our little dog -- Yogi Bear -- and three spoiled horses -- Bandit, Joker & Teton -- live in the rugged mountains of Idaho near Yellowstone National Park. Formerly Michigan residents, we moved to Idaho in 1993 because we love lots of snow, mountain scenery, and western wildlife. Pine martens, moose, elk, mule deer, whitetail deer, coyotes, and red fox are all frequent visitors to our Idaho home.
