Water Levels-Be Aware: Island Park Reservoir water levels start going down usually mid august but is NOT uncommon to see levels declining anytime in July. Water levels can also depend on how much snow we have received the previous winter. The reservoir is used for farming in the lower elevations. Please be aware of water levels when renting a cabin with a private dock or waterfront subdivision if water sports is why you chose the property you are renting. Property owners and Island Park Reservations "Do Not" issue refunds for water levels being low as this is out of our control. You can still Rent or Bring your water toys as there are many lakes and rivers in and around the Island Park and Yellowstone areas. Water levels typically do not decline as much in other areas like Island Park Reservoir does. Questions Call: 208-558-9675

Our Lazy Moose Cabin is located in the Cowan subdivision with a shared boat launch and is a short scenic drive to West Yellowstone, MT. This cabin has a very warm, comfortable and charming feeling. From the traditional log craftsmanship, the rich woods, rock fireplace and the charming furnishings (many of which are hand made); to the old time claw foot tub you can sink into and relax. After a relaxing night you can go hiking, biking or ride your ATVs. The Targhee National Forest is right outside your front door. Or go boating and swimming at Island Park Reservoir. Your private boat dock is steps away and waiting for you. You are about three miles from Eagle Ridge Ranch where you can enjoy horse back riding. Or just enjoy animal watching with moose, elk, deer, prong horns and many others in the immediate area.
Whether you are looking for a romantic get away or a wonderful family vacation with that Yellowstone/Old Faithful feeling - this is your cabin with three (3) bedrooms, two (2) bathrooms and sleeps eight (8) to ten (10).

Woodsy theme throughout the cabin. Comfortable furnishings. T.V. with satellite and DVD player. Wifi-Internet has been added for our guests convenience. Hand scrapped log staircase and log accents make a true rustic mountain cabin.

Fully stocked kitchen is tastefully decorated with touches of home, stocked with dishes, utensils, pots, pans, griddle, just bring your own food. Kitchen table seats 6.
