Dennis Young's Shooting School has provided me and other adult family members with a thorough and fun experience in educating us on the safety and the God Given heritage of American firearm ownership.
The basic fundamentals are offered in Dennis's school PLUS classes for advanced shooters who want to take their skills to the next level.
I personally aquired my Colorado Concealed Carry Permit due to the legal and moral education I received at Dennis's basic pistol class. Having grown up as the son of a midwest county sheriff, I had early gun safety instruction given to me by many law enforcement officers and even some of the "trustees" that worked around the county jail and yard. So, I was not a beginner when I took Dennis's class.
The best thing I can say about learning from him is that after all I thought I knew, I was enriched by Dennis's tales and experiences in the real world of security, military and law enforcement!
That is why I had other adult male and female family menbers enroll in this great basic gun safety training school...they feel the same way I do about the value we received!

Dennis was well prepared and presented the information in a clear and concise manner. I found it particularly helpful that he included real world examples and "stories" to make the class interesting and meaningful.
I will be recommending him to friends and colleagues and will take future training from him at The Shooting School.

Dennis was great. Although I was originally only into Trap and Skeet shooting, Dennis taught me everything I needed to know about handling a handgun, safety, and proper use in defensive situations.
In his Basic Pistol and Advanced Concealed Carry classes he taught me everything I needed to know about the safe and effective use of a handgun.
He did it all while it was great fun, and his personal stories and anticdotes really make his knowledge even more real and authentic.

I really enjoyed the class and have already suggested your class to some of my friends. Please send me at least 10 business cards so I can give them out at work. I work at the Post Office (the biggest branch in the metro area) and I can definitely generate you some future business. I really think you have the best class so please allow me to repay you for being so cool with me and letting me use your gun and ammo.
Maybe if you send me a flyer I can put it on the bulletin board. They allow flyers to be posted for 30 days at a time and hundreds of employess will see it every day. There are approximately 2000 employees in my building during 24 hours and 3 shifts. I must admit though; Postal employees and guns have a somewhat scarey connotation.(LOL) But if you want the business, I will definitely get you some.

Dennis was not only a great help, but he was a layed back instructor with a wealth of knowledge.
I'm sure that if you were to take this class, you won't be disappointed and will come out of the class with more knowledge and a new friend!
Dennis is a great guy, instructor, and a true American that cares for all of our 2nd amendment rights. It would be a mistake to go anywhere else for basic pistol training!!

Excellent course!
Dennis covers what he has to cover per the NRA, goes over additional information he thinks could benefit you when it comes to handguns/concealed permit and answers all your questions.
He is also available after the course if you have a question or two or just want to schedule any follow-up training. He has a vast amount of experience and knows his "stuff."
His resources are unlimited as well whether you are looking for holsters, handguns, or just need an answers to a county specific question.
I recommend this class for anyone. The best part is Dennis will work with your schedule if you have four or more people wanting to take the class and you can't make one of his scheduled classes.

I took the basic pistol class and really enjoyed it.
Dennis is very knowledgeable and a great instructor. I recommend taking the class to anyone. There were students in class with no prior experience (myself included) and others with a lot of experience and we were all able to learn from him.
He made the class a fun experience for everyone.!

I took the concealed carry class through the Shooting School. Dennis Young was the instructor and I enjoyed it very much!
Very nice guy and really went over everything well and made sure everyone understood or asked for questions and gave answers.
Other than the basic concealed class he went above and beyond to show some other items that would be favorable in a "tough situation". I think that was one of the best parts about the class other than going to the range!
If you are having doubts and or thinking about another class I would highly recommend this one!

Dennis Young is by far one of the best instructors. I thought I new almost everything I needed to know before I went to his class.
I found out there was a lot more to learn and Dennis taught in a way to where you are not bored and have a good time. I have taken two different classes from Dennis now and would take any others that he offers.
If you want to learn and have a good time doing it, then Dennis and The Shooting School is the way to go.

I had experience with guns before the class yet it was taught so well it was a real good day for beginners and shooters alike.
All questions that arose were explained with great detail and expertise. I dont know how good or how bad other classes are but, for my money I enjoyed the whole day and felt like it was really worth while.

Dennis has an ability to identify the knowledge level of the students and make everyone feel like their needs are being met while progressing the class to successful completion.
