One of five mural walls painted for the new Belmont Library during its construction in California, 2006. Calligraphy is derived from the Greek word for "beautiful writing." Long considered an art form, calligraphy is a strong force in the digital age as a counterpoint to less flexible computer-generated letter forms. It is an avenue for personal exploration in mark-making, and a special way of recording the moment. Celebrating 30 years of designing, writing, and painting, I make unique calligraphic pieces and identity design for both corporate and individual clients.
