Western Mass Golf is a ten year old media company that began in 1999 with a website dedicated to local golf. Since then we have expanded to include Western Mass/Conn Golf Magazine that covers golf in western Massachusetts and northern Connecticut. We print 15,000 copies, threer times a year, and distribute them to over 400 locations including courses, retailers, driving ranges and high traffic locations. We kick off the season in April with the Western Mass Golf Radio Show hosted by Jay Nomakeo, Steve Magargal, and Russ Held on WEEI Sports Radio every Saturday morning from 7:00am – 8:00am. WEEI is one of the few 50,000 watt stations in New England and we can be heard in six states. Jay also hosted “Live at the 2007 Travelers Championship” for ESPN Radio. In 2005 we took over the Golf, Sports and Entertainment Expo and moved it to the Bartley Center Sports Complex on the campus of Holyoke Community College. For 2009 we have also added a second Golf, Sports & Entertainment Expo to the Hartford Market. To further promote our area Western Mass Golf, publishes and prints an annual calendar of local golf courses that is sold at area outlets. We have also completed an extensive golf marketing program with a world renowned golf marketer and are now offering consulting services to the golf sector.
