CHURCH IMPROVEMENTS TAKING PLACE

The Trustees have initiated some repairs to our building and grounds.  Great Room and Foyer rugs have been cleaned and the Sanctuary Rugs will be replaced.  Downstairs floors will be stripped, cleaned and waxed.  Parts of the inside and outside of the building are being painted.  Cement work should be finished by the end of this week.  All of these improvements should be complete by Advent.  In the meantime, please use caution when entering the building or using different areas in the church.  Thank you, Trustees.

SANDTOWN HABITAT HOUSE DEDICATION THIS SATURDAY ~ Saturday, Nov. 21

The habitat house that LLUMC has been diligently working on since April at 1341 North Fulton Avenue in Baltimore is now completed and will be dedicated on Saturday at 1:30 pm.   Please join us as we present the new homeowner, Duane Harris, with the keys to his new house, a bible and a few welcoming words!  We will be joined by his parents, both ministers at local Baltimore congregations, the dedicated Habitat Crews from Glen Mar and Bethany United Methodist Churches, and the staff of Sandtown Habitat for Humanity.  Anyone wishing to share in the dedication should meet at the LLUMC parking lot at 12:30 pm to carpool down to the house together.  After the dedication, several of us will be continuing on to Mount Vernon Place UMC to help prepare and serve the dinner at Carpenter’s Kitchen.  Please also consider joining us for that activity since it will probably be a couple of months before we begin anew on our next Habitat house.  Thank you LLUMC for your continued support of our Sandtown Habitat Work!
