Notice
of Non-Discrimination
AICA
practices a biblical philosophy of admissions and does not discriminate on the
basis of race, color, or national and ethnic origin in admissions,
administration of its educational policies, tuition assistance and other school
administered programs.
It is the
desire of the Board and staff of Aquidneck Island Christian academy to provide
the best possible training and instruction for our children. We desire to
instill into our students a love of the truth, learning, wisdom, and
discernment. We desire that each child
come into a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ. As a discipleship school, we require that at
least one parent or guardian of each student have a credible profession of
faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and attend regularly a local
assembly of a Christian church. Attendance
at the Aquidneck Island
Christian Academy
is a privilege and not a right. All students are admitted initially on a
one-semester probationary period. If
the child fails to make acceptable progress or fails to adjust to the program
of the school, the parents will be expected to provide additional help outside
of school. Additional probation or
removal may result for not meeting academic or behavioral requirements.Kindergarten
students must be five years old on or before September 1st. A
student entering first grade must have reached the age of six years by
September 1st. Based
upon assessments the administration reserves the prerogative to advance or
retain the child as it is deemed necessary.
The
child should understand that his parents have delegated authority to the
school. Therefore, he is subject to the
instruction and discipline of the teachers and Headmaster in their prescribed
roles during the school day (Hours 8:15 am-3:00 pm).
1. Re-registration begins March 1st for returning
students. New applicants are accepted
beginning March 18th. A
$50.00 non-refundable Application Fee must accompany every re-enrollment as well
as new applications.
2. Assessments for new students will be scheduled beginning in
May throughout August.
3. Interviews with parents of the new students or returning
students are scheduled after the assessments have taken place.
