November 2, 2009 -  Getting through the Gatekeepers (or around them), Presented By: Bob Maher

Bob Maher, President of Patrick Douglas Outplacement, an organization delivering outplacement and career counseling since 1981, will discuss how to get through the Human Resource department or executive secretary to speak directly with the individual doing the hiring. The talk will help you find out who is making the decisions and thus the hiring and how to creatively contact them to get an interview.

November 16, 2009 - "Job Search during the Holidays", Presented by: Robin Raybuck

Robin Raybuck, founder of Robin Raybuck and Associates, a career management and coaching firm, sees the holidays as an opportunity to put your search in full gear. Many employers must fill positions by year-end and are more willing to take the time to meet with you while business is slower. Also, there are fewer business trips during the holidays, making it easier for you to reach decision makers. Robin will discuss the strategies for successful holiday job search and suggests taking interviews until Santa arrives.

The services of Hudson Job Search are made possible by
the generous financial support received from the Hudson churches,
Hudson-area foundations and Hudson social service organizations,
as well as the time, talent and gifts of many caring individuals...
