- Walt worked for Ford Motor Company in the 50’s as a degreed automotive engineer and drove Shelby GT350 Mustang 5R103 to the SCCA 1966 B-Production National Championship. He is the only active driver of three that drove the Shelby GT350 to consecutive national championships in 1965, 1966 and 1967.

- Walt & Chip Hane have been racing and preparing winning Sports & Formula cars together since 1961. Walt drove a Mustang in the Trans Am in the 60’s. They have raced at Riverside, Daytona, Watkins Glen, Mid Ohio, Lime Rock, Sebring, Laguna Seca, Texas World and many others, etc.

- As a child, Chip traveled and worked on the R model that Walt drove 1965 & 66. He won numerous Kart races as a youngster and has decades of experience wrenching and driving race winning vintage mustangs. Chip won the prestigious Rolex award at the 2003 Monterrey Historic Vintage races driving their 1966 Shelby GT-350H Shelby Mustang.

- They have been applying their years of knowledge about early Shelbys & Mustangs to vintage correct restorations and construction of current race winning Ford powered 60’s road race cars including Cobras and Falcons. In their shop, Chip builds race tuned cars under Walt’s direction using both engine and chassis dynamometers.

- They recently won 1st overall in the 2007 Rocky Mountain Vintage Racing Enduro with their 1965 K code Mustang Sedan. All that, considering collectively that they had 4 bad eyes & one bad heart valve then. Chip is no spring chicken anymore and Walt is 81 years old. Now the eyes & heart are fixed & they are ready to roll again.

- In 2009 they built, tested and delivered a Race/Rally street legal Shelby GT350, running on pump gas, that turned faster times than all other closed cockpit cars at another RMVR race.
