**The Union Plus Scholarship Program which is available for IBEW members and their dependent children is currently accepting applications. The deadline is January 31, 2009. The application can be accessed online at: http://www.unionplus.org/benefits/education/scholarships/up.cfm
As the Holiday Season rapidly approaches, we, as a local union, have been given many opportunities to volunteer to help those less fortunate. The Salvation Army has numerous volunteer postions available, from serving food to helping man the "Christmas Angel" booths in the malls. If you would be interested in donating a little of your time for this worthy cause, please call the hall and ask for Chris or Lonni. We will be coordinating a group volunteer effort.
