Leaders And Followers
Another lesson gained from the farm was the lesson of leaders and followers.
Back then children learned naturally that parents were superior in wisdom and knowledge. Remember, they lived with their parents. And these little ones worked with and played with their leaders. This meant that parent's experience and leadership was easy to see and easy to follow.
What happens when parents lead with strength as leaders? Children learn to follow and when they do, they grow up to be leaders because they know how to follow.
This lesson is about leaders and followers. When leaders are leaders, they provide the means for others to follow. No one can follow until someone leads with something worthy to follow. And leaders make it happen.
Leaders make followers and followers make leaders.
Before one can lead, he or she must first follow. Success in life is made up of leaders and followers because it takes both working together for the power of teamwork and working together for higher achievement.
It starts at home with father. He heads the family with strength, responsibility, and wisdom that he gets from his perfect Father. And because he leads, mom finds it easy to follow. Together they work as a pair, each helping the other in love and the leadership of one.
One is easier to follow than two. That is why children do better when parents agree and live in one flesh as described in detail in Biblical marriage.
When parents disagree with no standard for truth, children are in chaos with confusion, insecurity, and anarchy. The result: they are unable to follow, a limitation that can follow them for life.
Where children go as adults depends upon where they start as children. Can they follow? Will they know truth from the Bible that leads to trust? Will truth be a solid foundation for that which is right and give them something worthy to follow? If so, children can grow up as leaders because they know how to follow.
Truth teaches the difference between good and evil and right and wrong. This is how children learn how to trust that which is good and not be deceived. And because they know this, they are able to understand all human elements and be selective to build only upon good. As a result, they will know how to succeed in the most important ways as in marriage and in relationships in work and play and in every important way.
This is a message about leaders and followers and how much a nation's children need parents to lead with truth and give children a lifestyle filled with all good; a way worthy to follow.
