TESTIMONIALS
Mark and Miranda brought out of me the inner horseman just dying to get out but couldn't because of a few hangups, like going on longer trailer drives by myself, as Mark said to me on a trip I made with my husband Rob, Dana you need to put on your big girl pants and drive here by yourself next time:) and my thought was no way but you know what the very next lesson I came by myself and Mark said, I like the way those big girl pants fit and the rest is history now I go everywhere by myself and I Love it, they gave me the confidence I needed, not only with driving my trailer but with riding more horses too." I could go on and on about all they have done for me so just let me say that they are a true blessing to anyone who wants to learn more about horses and horsemanship!!!!!!

I met Mark Lyon in 2005. Since then he has always been there to get me through ANY problems that I have encountered with my horses. He also helped me once to prepare me & my horse for a freestyle event where I wanted to shoot a gun and jump through fire. Without hesitation he took on the challenge to prepare my horse to accept these things. Afterwards, I proudly rode my horse though the fire and shot the gun from his back. When Mark & Miranda became a team, it was a match made in heaven. She is the same type of person, always there to help whoever needs it, and equally as talented with a horse. More recently I had Mark start my young gelding. I have been 100% satisfied with my geldings performance and would not hesitate at having any horse of mine started or tuned up by Mark and Miranda. I have recommended them to many of my friends and they too have been 100% satisfied with the training that their horses have received. Also, the level of care that my horses (and my friends horses) have received while in the care of Mark & Miranda is top notch.

Mark has helped me to overcome my fear of being bucked off of one of my horses that inflicted injury to me a couple of times. My horse thought he was alpha over me and Mark showed me how to establish dominance. Mark also helped me develop trust in another horse who didn't trust me as his leader and he showed me how to be a leader so he could trust me no matter the situation. Since then, my confidence in my skills and the relationships with my horses are 100% better.
I now have a late 2 year old that I have started and realized he and I have a very good bond. This horse trusts me to no end and has no fear of new things. He will investigate it once and not oppose to checking it out again when asked, with no reaction. He's really cool headed for a horse. I have decided that this guy will be suited for Mounted Shooting competitions and I'm entrusting Mark to train him and make him a complete and trusted companion when the time comes. I approve of the 'Lyon" natural horsemanship training and recommend him to everyone and have already done so with two other fellow equestrians.
Thank you Mark & Miranda
Sincerely,

Falling in love with my new horse, The Cowboy, was so easy. But finding that he thought "outside" was something we passed through to get from the barn to the arena came as a bit of a shock! Didn't all top show horses know how to ride calmly across the open fields? Obviously not this one. Time to call in my friend and expert...Mark Lyon.
Handing Mark the reins was another easy decision, they were going into capable hands. His experience handling not only horses but their high maintenance owners is legendary. Mark is skilled at understanding that the horses does indeed have a stake in the game and gives them the opportunity to express them selves naturally. His methods are consistent, understandable, and effective. Asking him "How long will this take?" gets a response from Mark "It will take as long as it takes", that worked for me and The Cowboy. This is someone we could both trust. The Cowboy did live up to his name and we have had many wonderful rides out. When my young horse, The Cub, was ready Mark took him on his first "outside" adventures. When Miranda and I watched them come back down my road....I swear they were both smiling! The Cub would have gone across the country with Mark on board. Many are called, but few are chosen to become one with the horse. Mark is one of the few.
Thank you for your support.

Please feel free to use as you see fit! ............... 'I had the opportunity to ride alongside the talents of Miranda Lyon in Florida last winter. We were starting and re-starting a large group of rescue horses under the mentorship of Martin Black. It didnít take long for me to quickly notice that Miranda had a solid and strong handle on her horsemanship. She was a fierce horse woman that confidently guided the horses without getting in their way. I think what was so inspiring about Miranda was her beautiful, sweet & kind personality tied with an ongoing desire for self-improvement in her own horsemanship journey. For a woman who has accomplished so much in her horsemanship career, here she was riding with me studying to be a better hand. Now that I have made this special friend, I continue to see this woman excel in her career, opening up doors and opportunities for horses and clients along the way. Very inspiring. Awesome.'-

In 2011 Mark and Miranda started most of my 2 year olds. One of them being Legacy in Lights. Not only did they do a great job starting them, they also were able to evaluate their talent. Legacy in lights, according to Mark, was extremely talented, good minded and very easy going. I ended up winning close to 160k on him as a 3 year old. Mark and Miranda did a fantastic job preparing the young ones for training and giving them the start that I like on mine. All of them were safe, confident and ready to start their training when I got them. I have used them for 2 years now and will continue to use them since they have become a big part of my training program. I recommend these guys to everybody. They are true horseman!

Mark came to my farm last fall to work with my herd of Morgans. I am very happy with his time spent here and look forward to his return. He is an excellent horseman, combining hard work with patience that gave great results in a relatively short time. I have nothing but the best to say about him and his horsemanship.

In 2009 I was planning to have my 3 year old Appaloosa gelding named
Indy trained. My sister Karen lives in Gretna, Nebraska. Mark Lyon won the 2008 Extreme Mustang Makeover with a talented mustang named Christian. My sister suggested that I ask Mark to train my horse. Mark was training horses at Five Star Stables in Bennington Nebraska. Mark agreed to train Indy. In May 2009 we hauled Indy to Nebraska from Baraga Michigan... a mere 14 hour drive. Mark trains using Common Sense Natural Horsemanship with the Vaquero Buckaroo traditions. I stayed with my sister Karen for the month. Karen and I traveled to Five Star Stables twice a day to watch Mark train Indy. I must have taken about 2000 pictures and Karen videoed each session. Karen and I got to bond, laugh, ride and learn from Mark. I would not hesitate to recommend Mark to anyone wanting to have a horse trained. Thank you Mark for all you do for the horse and rider!

I MEET MARK AND MIRANDA LAST YEAR AT THE MUSTANG MAKEOVER. I HAVE KNOWN MANY TRAINERS IN MY LIFE TIME, BUT I WOULD LIKE TO SAY, MARK AND MIRANDA ARE TWO OF THE MOST HONEST PEOPLE I HAVE MEET IN THE HORSE WORLD. THEY HAVE THE HIGHEST LEVELS OF INTEGRITY THAT YOU WILL FIND IN ANY TWO TRAINERS. HAD IT NOT BEEN FOR MIRANDA I WOULD NOT HAVE WENT TO THE MUSTANG MAKEOVER, I TOLD HER I COULD NOT GET MY MUSTANG TO LOPE, SHE SAY COME OVER I THINK WE CAN HELP. AND SURE ENOUGH ABOUT ONE HOUR LATER HE WOULD LOPE. NOT ONLY ARE THEY GREAT HORSE TRAINERS THEY ARE GREAT PEOPLE. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.
