Tamarack Resort is the first ski, golf and lake resort that has been fully authorized and permitted in the United States in more than 20 years.
Tamarack is located 100 miles (a two hour drive) north of Boise, west of the small town of Donnelly, on the shores of Lake Cascade. Ground shuttle and air charters are available. Tamarack is a rare mountain resort whose ski, golf, village and lake amenities are uniquely located in extremely close proximity.
The fully approved Master Plan accommodates a total of 2043 dwelling units including the currently planned 381 single family lots, together with town homes, condominiums and ample hotel and conference facilities. The total project covers 3600 acres (Approx. 5.5 sq. miles) - 1500 acres of private land encompassing the golf course, housing and other development, and 2100 acres of state lease land dedicated to skiing and other recreation.
The Tamarack Ski Mountain will initially include two quad chairs and a surface platter lift that are to be installed in the summer of 2003, with the mountain expected to open on December 23, 2003. Ultimately Tamarack will provide about 1,100 acres of skiable terrain consisting of 600 acres of groomed runs and 500 acres of open glades and bowls. The base elevation is 4900 ft. and the summit is 7700 providing 2800 feet of vertical fall. At build out, Tamarack will have 7 high speed chair lifts and numerous surface lifts, Hundreds of Nordic skiers have already given great reviews to the 22k of groomed trails that opened i the winter of 2002.
A Robert Trent Jones II signature 18-hole golf course will be rough-cut and sculpted in the summer of 2003. Rather than the typical paired nines, the Tamarack course is designed for continuous play. The course will open for full public and guest use in May 2005.

Directly accessible from Tamarack, Lake Cascade is a large public body of water (25 mile long and 3 miles wide) suitable for swimming, fishing, power-boating, sailing, canoing and sea kayaking.
At the core of Tamarack is the Village, featuring restaurants, hotels, retail shops and other services all fronting a series of pedestrian only plazas and lanes. Construction of the village is planned to start in the summer of 2004.
The Tamarack Club is another exciting opportunity for homeowners to experience the resort in a special way. Tamarack is currently taking pre-sale reservations for the purchase of 60 individual home sites and 20 cottage properties and intends to offer real estate for sale upon the recordation of the final plat estimated to the fall of 2003.
Cost: At full build-out in 15 years, Tamarack's development price tag is estimated to be $1.5 billion.
Financing: Tamarack is being financed by private equity partners Alfredo Miguel of Mexico City, and Chief Executive Officer Jean-Pierre Boespflug of Boise, Idaho.
