Join us for a spooky encounter with Perth Amboy's ghosts, legends and history.

This unique tour takes you on a 60 minute walk stopping outside 5 locations. By lantern light your guide explains the unearthly details of the dark side of Perth Amboy's Waterfront District.

Tour starts in front of The Proprietary House, located at 149 Kearny Avenue, Perth Amboy. Parking is available in the Proprietary House parking lot or street side.

Admission: $10 per person

Please arrive 15 minutes early and bring a flashlight for the after dark tours.

Call the Proprietary House at 732 826-5527 Mon/Wed/Thur/Fri between 10:30am and 3:30pm to register.

If weather is unsettled on the day of the tour please call 732 826-3894 to confirm Tour status. Rain cancels the tour.

We invite you to attend Halloween weekend Ghost Tours in costume. Anyone attending in costume will receive a complementary cup of cider.

It is true that the spirits that still call The Proprietary House home have been more active
ever since Jane Doherty gave her first Proprietary House Ghost tour to sold out crowds on Sat. Oct.19, 2002. There were more than the sightings of the lady in white appearing & vanishing. There have been knocks at the door without anyone there or mysterious footsteps. Many photographers have found Spirit-induced orbs of light in their recent photographs.

So if you have not been here in years, have been here recently, or have never taken the Ghost Tours, this is a great opportunity to become acquainted with the house and its spirits.

Friday’s - tours every hour on the hour 6-10pm
Saturday’s - tours every hour on the hour 5-10pm

Come early! No reservations necessary. Suggested donation is $10.00 per person. $3.00 per child under 16 which includes commemorative t-shirt.
