Karate International-Clemmons
Keith Turpin is Master Instructor and co-owner of KI Clemmons, Arcadia, and Mocksville. He has been teaching since reaching the rank of green belt. Master Turpin's current rank is Rokudan - 6th Degree Black Belt in Sanshinkai Karate. He is also holds Sandan rank, 3rd Degree Black Belt, in Goju Shorei Weapons. Master Turpin had previous martial arts experience in Judo and Japanese and Okinawan style Karate before coming to Karate International. He has numerous tournament and teaching awards, including the "1997 Black Belt of the Year" and "2003 AMAA Hall of Fame Instructor of the Year" awards.

He instructs the youngest to the oldest students in the techniques, as well as the philosophy of Karate International Martial Arts excellence, tempered by a belief in force as a last alternative, and for self defense only. Master Turpin provides leadership in Martial Arts to his students in Clemmons,Mocksville, and Arcadia, through satellite programs, and phys. ed. classes at local elementary schools.

In addition to his distinguished achievement in the martial arts, Mr. Turpin has obtained a B.S. degree from Penn State University, and an MBA degree from UNC-Greensboro. He has worked in sales and management for Fortune 500 companies, as well as establishing and running several businesses of his own. He brings life experience to his teaching to compliment his passion for the Martial Arts.

Mr. Turpin is a believer in learning new skills all through life. He recently joined the Ultimate Black Belt Test - Team 5 under Coach Tom Callos to help teach by example of setting and achieving martial and personal goals. He continues his own personal training with Sanshinkai Grandmaster Shane Williams, Isshinryu Master H.P. Henry, and Goju Shorei Weapons Soke Dave McNeill.
