Medical Care Needed

Toto is a 2 yr old wire-haired Dachshund who has a bad disk in his lower back. Since he is so young he is looking for someone who has the time & commitment it will take to keep him healthy, happy & pain-free for the rest of his normal life-span. Toto need to be kept pretty quiet & calm as possible at all times. Unfortunately he needs a home with only kids old enough not to rile him up, which is unfortunate because he loves everyone he has meet, small or large. He likes other dogs too but again he pretty much requires a home that has only mellow pets or pets that don't like to play. He is on a special low-cal diet with no food treats to keep his weight low enough to maintain the health of his back. If you feel you would be the perfect home for Toto call his foster mom at 715-7030 to talk more about him.

I'VE BEEN ADOPTED!
JAZZ HAS BEEN ADOPTED!!!
This is Jazz. She is one lucky girl. MSB animal control found her after she had been hit by a car. She was dragging her back legs as her back was basically "broken". The vet at MSB stablized her and since she was such a sweet girl, she couldn't put her down. ADPR found a vet who was able to fix her back by putting a metal plate in her. The back surgery was very expensive! However, she is doing great! She is walking and playing like all the other dogs.
Jazz is about a year old and she is a bulldog mix. For more info email Carol at angelgoinup02@yahoo.com

Donations for her surgery would be most appreciated. You can mail donations to ADPR P.O. Box 876888 Wasilla, AK 99687 or use paypal.
Finally, it has warmed up enough for me to go down to Colorado for my legs. I also get to model my new legs at a convention while I'm there.
Hi everyone, Just a quick update on how I am doing. My wounds are healed, I have gained 25lbs and I'm getting my prosthetic legs fitted. I am doing very well on two legs, I can run and play and do all the normal happy dog things but it will sure be nice to have some prosthetic limbs to help my two good legs because they get a little tired so I have to lean on my friends or sit down when what I really want to do is play with my friends.
