HEAVENLY SIGHTS CHARTERS AND CAMPGROUND is located at Milepost 132.2, 13295 Sterling Highway, Ninilchik, Alaska 99639, approximately 3 miles East of the historic community of Ninilchik. Ninilchik is one of the oldest communities on mainland Alaska, originally founded by the Russians. On a hill, overlooking the community is a well preserved Russian Orthodox Church and Cemetery (Picture below). Thousands of tourists visit the site to take pictures of the church with the two active volcanoes, Redoubt and Illiamna, across Cook Inlet, as a background.
