Here's some brand new good news!
Cheryl Broussard has a new e-zine, The Sister CEO e-zine. Her latest book, What's Money Got To Do With It?: The Ultimate Guide On How To Make Money Work In Your Relationship co-authored by her partner, Michael Burns is available in bookstores, on Amazon, or directly from Cheryl.

And Barbara Stanny's new anthology is out: Breaking Through: Getting Past the Stuck Points in Your Life. Published by Powerful Woman Press and co-edited by Oriana Green, this is a collection of short essays by dozens of money women including Allison Acken.

Try reading a great book about women and money:
MAKING BREAD: THe Ultimate Financial Guide for Women Who Need Dough by Gail Harlow with Elizabeth Lewin

What You Owe Me by Bebe Moore Campbell

A Woman of Independent Means by Elizabeth Forsythe Hailey

or Carolyn See's Dreaming: Hard Luck and Good Times in America or Making a Literary Life: Advice for Writers and Other Dreamers -- I read it while on my book tour and loved it. Carolyn has a way of talking about money that is priceless.

And here are a few suggestions for very readable money management books:
THE BLACK WOMAN'S GUIDE TO FINANCIAL INDEPENDENCE: Smart Ways to Take Charge of Your Money, Build Wealth, and Achieve Financial Security by Cheryl Broussard is a terrific book written by a financial planner in Northern California. She had travelled around the country lecturing to women's groups and kept hearing, "Why don't you write a book?" She did and it is a big seller.

Barnes & Noble.com THE CHEAPSKATE MONTHLY MONEY MAKEOVER by Mary Hunt. Mary Hunt is simply terrific. This is the best book I've seen for honest, understanding, and helpful information about getting rid of debt. I know several people who have climbed out of debt by following this plan.
THE MS. MONEY BOOK by Emily Card was written in 1990 but the writing is simple and straightforward, and the information is practical and very useful. It is out of print now so you'll have to find it in your library or at an out-of-print books' online site. Last time I checked, there were a few copies available at Alibris - Books You Thought You'd Never Find .
