MOBup Crew Overboard Retrieval System

The MOB up is a simple, yet efficient hoisting mechanism for rapid retrieval of a person in the water.

When a person falls over board, time is essential.
The victim may be hurt, hypothermia and exhaustion can easily overcome the strongest of sailors.
Many systems have addressed the issues involved, but none have done it with the simplicity of the MOBup.
The entire unit is packaged in an attractive case that should be located within easy reach.
To operate follow these 3 simple steps:
1 SECURE the end of the rescue sling to the boat and THROW the sling to victim on the water.
2 ATTACH the MOBup to the nearest shroud or stay and
3 HOIST the victim aboard with simple "pumping" action.

The leverage of the MOBup allows you to lift effortlessly a 300 lbs person, and land him effectively on deck.

The MOBup Mark 1 is clipped to the shroud without any tools and no need of muscular power.
Properly adjusted to the shroud diameter, the MOBup can be fixed to shrouds up to 1/2" in diameter.

|
|
Built of stainless steel, the MOBup will remain operational with practically no maintenance.
With the telescopic extension of the arm, over 300 lbs of lifting power can be excerted with one hand.

With the rollers mounted, the MOBup can be used both as a hoisting mechanism and as a tool for lowering heavy loads from the deck of the boat.

|
|
The Rescue Sling is thrown toward the victim in the water, the other end of the line must be secured to the boat.
|
|
|
The MOBup unit is clipped to any stay line or shroud without the need of special tools. The unit can be used in lines up to 1/2" in diameter.
|
|
|
Once the unit is clipped, pull by hand the victim to a position right underneath the hoist. This will save valuable time, as a body in the water is easy to pull.
|
|
|
Thread the line through the cleats located on the MOBup. With a "pumping" action proceed to lift the victim out of the water.
|
|
|
With the telescopic extension deployed, a 300 lbs. person can be hoisted with one hand.
Also can be used to raise and lower heavy loads, dinghies or outboard motors to and from the deck.

|
|
The design of the MARK 2 differs from the MARK 1.
It allows for its use in motor boats or vessels without shrouds.
The unit comes complete with its case,one Life Saving Sling and 33 ft. of high quality line.
A set of rollers used to lower weights from the boat is also available.

The MOBup MARK 2 mounts on shrouds, as well as any location on the boat where its tubular base may be mounted vertically. Hence its availability for motor boats as well.

|
MOBup MARK 2 is mounted in a vertical piece of tube fixed to the boat. Can be attachet to a life line or any vertical surface.

RESCUING SLING
The rescuing sling is a replica of the sling used when rescuing operations with helicopters are taking place in the open sea. The sling is provided with 33 ft. of high quality rope and a carabine snap hook.
