He has appeared both in District Court and Circuit Court Jury Trials and has argued cases before the Michigan Court of Appeals and the Michigan Supreme Court.
After graduating from law school in 1991, Susan Dehncke became associated with the law firm of Weil, Gotschall & Manges in Washington, D.C. She then became an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney with the Jackson County Prosecuting Attorney's Office in 1993. During that period of time she was involved in Trial work at both the District Court and Circuit Court level. In 2002, Ms. Dehncke left the Prosecuting Attorney's Office to go into practice on her own. She has concentrated on juvenile abuse and neglect cases and family law.
A word about the name "Dehncke". One more thing you may want to know about this office and this attorney; Dehncke is pronounced "dane key" or as Susan says, "Rhymes with Yankee." This makes sense because the origin of the name is actually Danish, with a sort of German twist. Unfortunately, it is also difficult to spell and we frequently see spellings like: Danke, Denke, Danky, Dehnke, Denkey, Dankey, Dencke, Denky, Dehnky. We just thought you might like to know.
In 2003, the two attorneys combined their practices into the Law Offices of Brandt & Dehncke, PLLC, where their combined litigation experience makes them one of Jackson's premier litigation law firms with unmatched Trial Court experience.
The partners have formed a full service law firm focusing on family law, juvenile law, criminal law, drunk driving defense and personal injury.
The Law Offices of Brandt & Dehncke, PLLC, prides itself on its service to its customers and its continued excellence in litigation.
