Directions for using ground meat only: Use 1 1/2 pounds of lean ground meat. In 2 quart pan add the ground meat and cook down breaking up while cooking. When meat is cooked add the Pack of Cajun Dirty Rice mix with 3 cups of cold water. Let come to a rolling boil, reduce the fire to 3 on the stove, cover with lid, and continue cooking for 25-30 minutes.
Directions for using ground meat, gizzards and chicken liver: Simply follow above directions but chop up the gizzards and liver in blender beforehand and add along with the ground meat when you make the Dirty Rice. This dish is usually made for Christmas or Easter dinner.
