In 1989, Homer and Alice Drew began caring for homeless animals in Warren County and formed the Animal Welfare Association (AWA). Alice continued working with the group after Homer's death and expanded it to include multiple foster homes, pet adoption and through working with first responders (911) on emergency animal calls. In 2000, she gave notice to the Warren County Commissioners that AWA would no longer perform that service for the county. In parallel, a second rescue group known as Homeward Bound worked with the City of Warrenton in a fostering and adoption program for the citizens of Warrenton through the city animal shelter. A group of "Concerned Citizens", realizing they were living in a county with no animal control or shelter, formed CCAC (Concerned Citizens for Animal Control of Warren County) in 2001.
CCAC is a 501(c)3 not for profit organization working towards the goals of a shelter, animal control, education and population control of animals in Warren County.

These will be made direct links to the IGive and ISearchIGive websites in the very near future so that you do not have to type the address into your address bar. Just wanted to get this awesome opportunity posted on our webpage. A very easy way to make money for CCAC. And if you only search, its a FREE way to help CCAC raise money for the animal shelter we plan to build. I just signed up yesterday (12/8/08)and in one day made $6.05 for CCAC by making a purchase at a bookstore, received the $5.00 first time bonus and then made a few searches at ISearchIGive which gives us two cents per search.
