I'm about ready to buy an account with EZ-NetTools but I need to know if I will have access to the HTML code. I'd like to create a few links to paypal to create a very small shopping cart. There are several other HTML codes that I'd need to inbed in the site.

Thanks!

Good news...you will be able to use HTML blocks for any code you need to insert. You will also be able to access head code, body code, meta-tags, etc.

Some java scripts will not work in page builder, however. For example, the script that will bust your pages out of a framed site will not work with page builder. I had someone - lol - copy one of my web pages made with MS frontpage into page builder, and once into another html editor and they couldn't examine my page 'casue it kept busting out the web shell/interface. har!

Hey Paul,

It's really easy to use EZ-Net with your PayPal account. I've been working with the tools going on 7 years now and each year they get better and better. With the site I made linking to PayPal, you just get the code directly from PayPal and insert it in a HTML block. Super easy. You don't need to have an e-commerce account with EZ-Net, which is nice if you are only selling a couple things. The section of tthe site I made is secure to get in to. If you'd like to see the example of how it works with PayPal just email me and I'll shoot you a temp User Name & Password to see how it works. Good Luck with everything!

How do you make a secure page using the tools?

Here's the instructions from the "Help" section from EZ-Net. I just use File Manager to create a folder first. Then proceed with the "User" button as they describe here:

Users: Use this option to assign a user ID and password to those individuals whom you wish to grant access to a password protected directory.

1. Click on the “Users” button; a new window will open.
2. The “Create User” button allows you to create a new user. Enter a “User Name” and a “Password.” A valid user name consists only of upper or lower case letters, numbers, and underscores and is between 1 and 15 characters long. Passwords are case sensitive and must be between 4 and 15 characters. Give this user ID and password to the individual who you would like to be able to access the directory.
3. Click on “Add” to add that particular user. Click on “Add and Create Another” to add that particular user and create another user. Click on “Cancel” if you change your mind. The “Delete Selected” button allows you to delete certain users you have selected in the list. First select the user(s) by clicking on the box next to their user name. Then click on “Delete Selected” to delete them from the list. You will see some “Actions” that you are able to perform for each user. The “edit” action allows you to edit their user name and password. The “view” action allows you to change the user’s permissions (access) to certain directories. You may modify the user’s permissions by selecting or deselecting the desired directories.
4. The “Close” button allows you to exit Users.

The way I use this on my site is simple. I have my "main" site which is open to all and then I have a part that I only want certain individuals to have access to. I created a directory thru FileManager and then assigned a User Name and password to it. Here's an example:

Lets say your main site for all is www.mysite.com/index.html.

You then create a directory using File Manager and call it "exclusive_access". You then click the "users" button and add a User Name & Password to be able to access that new directory. Once they enter the UN & P they'll now go to this URL:

www.mysite.com/exclusive_access/index.html

It's pretty cool actually. Let me know if you get it to work alright!

Hey Ryan,

I was checking out your site tonight and noticed that you have 2 of the same FAQ's listed one after the other. Here's the URL I found it on:

Just a heads up so you can fix it!

Thanks for pointing that out. I'll fix it lickety-split.
