I am so confused! This is my first time designing my website. I do not want to violate any web ethics. Could someone suggest where to get some graphics for my page...for cheap?

You can try performing a google search on "clipart". Nearly all websites that offer clip, do so royalty free.

Also try searching for royalty free images with google. You should find normal photography as well (some have a small upfront price to access all their images, some none at all).
