The intent of this is because land for the Club has been decreased significantly.

We currently have 170ish members, if this reduction happens who do we not allow to rejoin? Maybe instead lower by 20 this year. Then see how our member rolls look next spring and lower again based upon it then.

If need be, I can open another topic to adjust the "membership priorities" as stated in the Club By-Laws, section 2D.

I think we need to do something about our total membership. As Kyle stated, the WMA has way more land than us (around 7 times as much) and their cap is 200 per hunt. Over the last 10 years we've lost land and gained members and it's crowded. I found one area that has 5 stands within 11 acres. They are over 100 yards apart but I guarantee the pressure changed the deer habits once the season started. I like setting a cap of 125 of guard members and 25 DMA. Priority of returning members first. DMA makes up 1/2 of our officers on the board and they do a lot for the club throughout the entire year.

Let’s start counting members from who has been here the longest. I don’t understand why someone is alway wanting to make this club their personal hunt club. Just hunt and enjoy the people that are in the club

Just some info that you can factor into your decision making process...We usually lose and/or gain about 20-30 members each season.

Just a recent thought, what if we tied membership allotted to acreage. For example: 1 member per every 50 acres. So, if we had 8000 acres, we could have 160 members. Might be an easy way to ensure we do not have too many or too few members. Obviously, we would prioritize renewal memberships.
