Lark Gilbert Cheesman left mortality on May 8, 2017 in Mesa, Arizona surrounded by those who loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Carol. She was born October 1, 1946 in Provo, Utah to Mary Deane Peterson and Arthur Gene Gilbert. She was eight months old when her father tragically passed away. Her mother wrote about this time, “You were a special baby because you came to us after much fasting and prayer. I don’t think there was ever a baby wanted more than you were.” Lark grew up in Provo in a blended family after her mother married Harold Glen Clark and she gained six additional brothers and sisters in a blended family. He wrote about his new daughter, “How fortunate Art, your father, will feel when he takes you in his arms. I hope he will love you as much as I have over the years and still do—proud to own you as my daughter in this life.” Lark graduated from Brigham Young High School in the Class of 1964. She graduated from Brigham Young University in library science, she was the librarian in a middle school, then became the librarian at the Brigham Young University Law School. Following her marriage to Douglas Arthur Cheesman in the Latter-day Saint Utah in Provo Temple on December 19, 1973, she had four children: Jennifer (Frank Castillo), Melissa (David Smith}, Paul Douglas and Todd Arthur. Lark has eight beloved grandchildren who are the joy of her life: Armando, Davaya, Elias, Elise, Jackson, Londyn, Maya, and Noemi. Lark was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and happily provided significant service for many years in multiple capacities. She was truly a disciple of Jesus Christ. For example, she created heirloom blessing blankets for numerous newborns and shared the joy of the creation of new life. She was greatly loved by many whom she cared for. One friend wrote, “You live the Gospel to the fullest. You teach through word and example. You serve and love everyone! You always have kind words to say. You know our Savior. We want to be like you.” Lark was the consummate educator, influencing the lives of thousands of children as a school librarian, enthusiastically sharing her love of learning and her enthusiasm for reading. Her zest for life and learning was contagious. To the completion of her mission here on earth, she demonstrated strength and faith that inspired many who witnessed her courage. She taught us much by her example, lessons of life, and love. Family visitation was held Thursday, May 11, 2017 at the Bunker’s University Chapel, 3529 East University Drive, Mesa, Arizona, 85213. Services celebrating her life were held Friday, May 12, 2017 at the Mountain View LDS Stake Center, 1550 North Val Vista, Mesa, Arizona, 85213. Interment following the services will be in the historic Mesa Arizona Cemetery. The family suggests memorial donations of children’s books to be shared with disadvantaged children. Bunkerfuneral.com

BYU BA Journalism 1968. Married Owen Hogle. ~ ~ ~ ~ HER HUSBAND'S OBITUARY: Owen Copley Hogle, 1945-2021. Spring City, UT — Owen "Hob" Hogle, the last of the four Hogle brothers, left this life Wednesday January 6, 2021 following a long illness. Owen, son of Bonnie Smith and James E. Hogle Sr., was born December 28, 1945 in Salt Lake City, Utah. His early days were spent roaming Federal Heights where the local boys dubbed themselves the Arlington Gang. The family moved to 41 acres on 700 East and 3900 South, naming it Fantasy Ranch (Old Farm). Owen's first job was at Utah's Hogle Zoo and lasted a half day. He was fired that afternoon for leaving the ladder on Monkey Island, allowing all the monkeys to escape. Immediately after graduating from Westminster College in Salt Lake City, he was drafted and served honorably in Viet Nam. His business career included wine merchant, real estate, investments, advertising and publishing. In 1994 he followed his heart, opening The Wild Bird Center in Holladay. Instead of keeping the first dollar he earned, he kept his first customer, Sheri Hansen. They married in 1995 and continued in business together for twenty years. In 2014 on the advice of his physician, Owen and Sheri left Salt Lake City due to the toxic air quality and moved to Spring City, Utah. In spite of his dedicated involvement with community and social issues, personal recognition was not important to Owen. He would prefer to be remembered for his integrity, kindness and sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, James E. Jr., Hugh, and Donald. He is survived by his wife Sheri, stepson Joshua (Brandy) Kramer, children Danielle (Mark) and Tela (Jason) and grandchildren Aiden, Riley and Gwynnie. Sheri and Owen give special thanks to the lntermountain Hospice Team and our friends and neighbors in Spring City for their support. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Utah's Hogle Zoo or a charity of your choice. Online condolences at rasmussenmortuary.com [Salt Lake Tribune January 18 to January 24, 2021]

Daniel was born April 16, 1946 in Provo, Utah; son of Herrick and Joyce Muhlestein, and Cleo Lewis. He was the oldest of eight children. Nine years after they met in a BY Junior High orchestra class, where they both played viola, Daniel married the love of his life, LaNae Williamson, in the Manti Temple on October 11, 1969 for time and all eternity. Our parents are a wonderful example to us of eternal love. They did everything together and enjoyed every minute of it. Our sweet mother stayed by his side until the very end. They taught us how to truly love unconditionally and forever. Dad’s greatest joy in life was his family. He and LaNae are the proud parents of Jolynn (Derek) Hegsted, Chad (Kynda) Muhlestein, Dan (Anne) Muhlestein, Shelley Muhlestein, Ryan (Jaina) Muhlestein, Amber (Shaun) Brancheau. Their family has grown to include 25 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Dad spent his entire life serving his family and others around him. He loved to take his family camping. We went on many camping trips together including trips to Yellowstone and to our family property. Dan and LaNae had a great opportunity to procure some property on top of a mountain where they went often, creating lifelong memories with family and friends. Dad enjoyed fishing and hunting, teaching his sons and grandsons how to hunt and take care of their wild game. The grandkids looked forward to going to “The Property”, taking the boat to fish, and making breakfast casserole and whole wheat pancakes with Papa’s homemade blackberry syrup. Dad had a love of cooking, baking, & gardening. These were part of his daily life. He grew many things in his garden and he loved to share the fruits of his labors. If you had the pleasure of sitting at the kitchen counter, he would set something in front of you with a twinkle in his eye and a simple “take a bite”. He never disappointed. Dad enjoyed taking the time to harvest his home grown grapes and blackberries, a detail oriented process that he excelled in, producing delicious grape juice and blackberry syrup to go on his whole wheat pancakes. Oh, and let’s not forget about the homemade vanilla…that’s a hot commodity! Dad was a Jack of all trades. He knew how to do EVERYTHING! And if he didn’t he would learn. He loved working with wood, making chess boards, picture frames, shelves, tables, benches, pinewood derby cars– you name it, he built it! And everything he made was perfect. And if it wasn’t perfect the first time, he made two or three more until it was. Dad had many accomplishments throughout his life. He graduated from Provo High School, served in the Army Reserves, and attended Brigham Young University. Dad was excited to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the West German Mission. He loved the Lord and dedicated his life to serving everyone he met and being a true example of Christ-like love. He was known throughout the ward for his famous “home teacher cakes”- bringing a birthday cake to those he home taught of any age. From camp outs to the Pinewood Derby, Dad was an enthusiastic Cub Scout master who loved the boys he served. He served in many callings in the church, but his favorite was statistical clerk. People were the most important part of Dad’s life. From his time as a manager at a hardware store, where he was “Manager of the Year” three times, to his final job as a manager of technical support at IHC, with other Technical Support jobs in between, he was always taking care of people by teaching and helping them. Dad made many lifelong friends along the way. There was never a stranger he wouldn’t help, and they were never a stranger for very long. He loved people! He loved helping people, getting to know people, talking to them, and feeding them. Dad’s life was filled with love, laughter, family, & friends. He was the greatest example of love to all who knew him. He was ready to move on to the next adventure and to see all the family who had gone before him. He is loved by so many and we will miss him dearly. He is survived by his wife, 7 siblings, 6 children, 25 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. His family is awaiting another big bear hug in heaven. Till we meet again… Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Lindon 12th Ward Chapel located at 56 East 600 North, Lindon, Utah. Family and friends may call Tuesday evening at the Lindon 12th Ward Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and again Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 am prior to services at the church. Interment will be at the Timpanogos Memorial Gardens in Orem, Utah.
