University, Book 4, page 153. ~ ~ ~ ~ Ida Olivia Jensen was born on October 16, 1890 in Levan, Utah. Her parents were Charles Jensen and Lettie Anne Marie Christensen Jensen. Ida Olivia Jensen married Marion George Romney on September 12, 1924 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Marion George Romney was born on September 19, 1897 in Colonia Juarez, Chihauhua, Mexico. His parents were George Samuel Romney and Teressa Artemisa Redd Romney. Ida Jensen, a former teacher at Ricks College was working on a master's degree at BYU when she renewed an acquaintance with Marion G. Romney when studied at BYU for a year. Marion Romney and Ida Jensen were married on September 12th, 1924 in the Salt Lake Temple. The marriage was performed by Joseph Fielding Smith. After this Marion G. Romney began studying at the University of Utah. He received a bachelor's degree in political science and history in 1926. Romney then studied law at the University of Utah. He did not complete course work there. However he did pass the bar in 1929. Marion and Ida Romney had three children, of whom only one, George J. Romney, lived beyond the age of one. George J. lived to adulthood, served a mission, and in April 1983 read Marion Romney's general conference talk for him. The Romney's also had an adopted child, Richard Jensen Romney. Elder Marion G. Romney died on May 20, 1988 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Ida Olivia Romney died on March 8, 1978 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Sadly, in 1920 Lena died on February 4th and Clarence on February 5th of Broncho Pneumonia Influenza.

George Tunis Staples was born on February 5, 1886 in Mesa, Arizona. His parents were James Tunis Staples and Ruthette Gardner. He married twice: First, to Chloe Larson [Larsen] about 1910 in Ogden, Utah. [Do not yet know if she died or if they divorced.] Second, he married Margie Robins on December 20, 1911 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Margie Robins was born December 21, 1890 in Scipio, Utah. She died on January 7, 1970 in Ogden, Utah. Interment, Ogden, Utah. James Tunis Staples died on April 8, 1949 in Ogden, Utah. Interment, Ogden, Utah. ~ ~ ~ ~ 2. Her parents were Paul Droubay and Harriet Frances Rowberry Droubay. She died on August 1, 1975 in Willard, Utah. Interment, Willard Utah. He died on November 26, 1964 in Salt Lake City, Utah. His parents were Christian Frederick Bernhard Lybbert and Antonette [or Anthonette] Marie Olsen Lybbert. He married twice: First, to Elma Goodrich on August 30, 1912 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Elma Merrell Goodrich was born on March 12, 1895 in Naples, near Vernal, Utah. Her parents were Albert Gardner Goodrich and Lydia Merrell. They had up to eight children together. She died on September 13, 1926 in Vernal, Utah at the age of about 31. Her interment, Naples, Vernal, Utah. He second married Orva Luella Eaton on May 24, 1929 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Orva was born on July 22, 1909 in Vernal, Utah. Her parents were Henson Claudest Eaton and Luella May Hatch Eaton. She died on January 23, 1992. Jacob Norman Lybbert died on January 19, 1977 in Moses Lake, Washington. Interment, Moses Lake, Grant County, Washington.

Married for 75 years. Survived by wife, Lucinda Leavitt Nelson, Las Vegas; sons, Lawrence R. Nelson, Jr., St. George; Donald L. Nelson, Las Vegas, Nevada; daughters, Marjorie Nelson Johansen, Las Vegas, Nevada; AnnaFern Nelson Pinkham, Las Vegas, Nevada; 18 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; brother, Vern S. Nelson, Provo. Funeral services were held at the LDS Chapel 6th Ward, West Charleston, Wednesday, July 14, 1993. Interment, Bunker Memorial Gardens, Las Vegas, Nevada.
