The Clay’s Park Bluegrass Festival – August 7th and 8th features Eastern Kentucky bluegrass band, Coaltown. The Bluegrass Journal recognized this band in late 2008 as "making impressive inroads with their hard driving sound & smooth vocals."

A highly energetic contemporary bluegrass band, who's heart and soul is found in the old coal towns of Eastern Kentucky, and driven from the sights and sounds of their fans. They sing songs of who they are, and where they're from and hang their hearts out on the stage each and every time. They are high expectations on Coaltown's new CD which will be available within the next couple of months, and are excited to say that one song will be on prime cuts of bluegrass volume 96 in Nov. 2008.
