Time Warner Cable to Televise DockDogs Event On NEON
AKRON, OH (APRIL 2009) – Time Warner Cable will televise the May 31st DockDogs® event from Clay’s Park. Coverage of the competition will be available beginning June 6th on the Northeast Ohio Network (NEON), channel 23, as well as Local On Demand (LOD), channel 501.
The NEON schedule:
Speed Retrieve
Saturday, June 6th at 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. Sunday, June 7th at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Big Air Amateur
Saturday, June 12th at 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. Sunday, June 13th at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Big Air Semi-Pro
Saturday, June 20th at 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. Sunday, June 21st at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Big Air Pro
Saturday, June 26th at 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. Sunday, June 27th at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Time Warner Cable’s digital cable customers can access the DockDogs shows on LOD, 501, beginning June 6th. LOD programming can be accessed at the viewer’s convenience, at no additional charge.
The DockDogs competition is part of the Clay’s Bark in the Park Festival. The finals are a zone qualifier for the World Championships and will showcase the high flying action of DockDogs.
The Speed Retrieve® is where the dogs are put on the clock to see how fast they can run down the dock, jump into the water, swim to the end of the pool and retrieve an object which is held by a modified extender arm. The Big Air® competition has dogs running down a 40’ dock and diving into a pool of water after an object where they are electronically judged for the length of their jump.
Time Warner Cable has covered AKC Agility Trials and United States Dog Agility Association Events in the past.
