The following positions are available at Del Amo Hospital, located in Torrance, CA:

NURSING DEPARTMENT -   The Del Amo Hospital nursing staff provides high quality, continuous nursing care in a manner that is consistent with the philosophy and objectives of the hospital and within the framework of the established policies and procedures of the Nursing Services Department:

    • Text Box: $45 RN – Full Time Staff Nurse, Day Shift – Adult Program
    • RN- Staff/Charge Nurse: Part Time - Night Shift; Per Diem - All Shift
    • Psychiatric Assistant – Full Time Shift – 6pm to 2 am – Youth Services
    • Psychiatric Assistant - Per Diem Days, Evenings, Nights and Weekend shifts available 

Candidates for RN, LVN and LPT will have current licensure through the appropriate Board in the State of California.

Candidates for Psychiatric Assistant will have a minimum 2 years of education focused in nursing, psychology, social service or equivalent preferred.  C.N.A., E.M.T. training/certificating a plus.  Experience working with adult psychiatric patients preferred for Full Time position.


INTAKE & ADMISSIONS
:

  • Intake Coordinator/Counselors:  Full Time, Monday through Friday, 3pm – 11 pm.  Candidates for Counselor will be masters level and/or licensed/registered as an LCSW, MFT, RN or LPT.  All candidates will have 3 years psychiatric experience with psychiatric patients of all ages.
  • Psychiatric Assessment Team Clinicians - Candidates will be currently licensed by the state of California as a RN, MFT, LCSW, or PhD for a minimum of three (3) years licensed experience working with psychiatric patients.  Candidates must complete the LPS Designated Training offered by the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health Training Division with a passing score on the LPS Designation Exam; and approval for designation to Del Amo Hospital by the Medical Executive Committee.  Candidates must meet all other LAC requirements.



CLINICAL SERVICES - Provides direct care to patients as appropriate through the use of psychotherapeutic skills to understand, identify and resolve complex problems, provide individual and group therapy, discharge planning and case management activities. 

   ♦ Social Workers – Per Diem positions available for Weekdays & Weekends, various programs.  All candidates will have MSW or related degree.

    Adjunctive Therapist – Full Time position available weekdays – Adult Program; Per Diem positions also available – various programs.  Candidates are required to have a degree and must be certified/registered or Board eligible in Music, Art or Recreation Therapy. Experience in a psychiatric setting preferred. Knowledge of rehabilitation programs and planning required. Candidates


REGISTERED DIETITIAN- 
Part Time or Consultant position available to work 20 – 24 hours per week in Food Services and Adult Eating Disorders Program.  Candidates will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Food and Nutrition, membership in A.D.A. and as a Registered Dietitian required; or registration eligible. 


OUTPATIENT SERVICES – Positions now available for Per Diem Social Workers.  Tuesday & Thursday – Day Shift available.  Candidates will be licensed/registered through the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.


UTILIZATION REVIEW- Full Time and Per Diem Utilization Review Coordinator positions now available. Candidates will have significant experience in a psychiatric setting preferred; Licensed RN, MFT, LCSW, or master's level clinician required.


PLANT OPERATIONS – Full Time position available for an Environmental Services Floor Technician.
  Previous experience and knowledge of chemical policies and procedures preferred.  1-2 years experience cleaning hospital/hotels.  High School education preferred; must be able to read and write.
