 The Downtown Dancewear Scholarship Fund was created to support dedicated young dancers in the Merrimack Valley Area and to help share the costs that their families incur by incorporating dance into their lives. Throughout the year, Downtown Dancewear accepts donations from customers and dance supporters. In May of each year, the amount raised is met by Downtown Dancewear and a fund in the total amount is established for the following year. One dancer from a pool of applicants is chosen, not solely by their talent or financial need, but by their ability to show a clear dedication to the study of dance and incorporation of dance into their everyday lives. The scholarship is issued to their school of study to be used toward the student's tuition.
Application Deadline: The application deadline for 2008 has passed.
(The 2009 application will be due August 1, 2009.)
